Limits and how do they work?
Basically you have troops in your castle but only as many troops as your limit will fight. So you can have 3m defenders, but if you have a limit of 300k, you will defend with 300k troops.
Your total limit is made up of two parts – your own limit and the alliance limit. Which means that the alliance can help you increase your defense limit significantly. Another significant help that will increase your limits are buildings. The Keep, Guardhouse, Stronghold. These buildings increase your/alliance limit.
How does it work with alliance troops and with weaker and stronger troops?
- Your own troops can only fill your limit, they will never appear in the alliance limit.
- Alliance troops fill your limit first (unless it is already full) and then start filling the alliance limit. They can therefore be included in both limits.
- If the alliance sends stronger troops than yours, your troops will be pushed into reserve from your limit (they will not fight) and the alliance will fill your limit first and then the alliance limit.
Espionage
Beware, if you spy on someone, you will never find out his total number of troops in the castle. What you see in the espionage is his limit, which if you attack him, will fight.
