To be able to send and defend really strong attacks. You will also need good equipment.
The classification of equipment
According to the determination
- Commander equipment
- Castellan equipment
According to the strength/rarity of the equipment
- Ordinary (grey pieces)
- Rare (green pieces)
- Epic (violet pieces)
- Legendary (gold pieces)
- Unique (red pieces)
- Relic (blue pieces)
Ordinary EQ is the weakest, relic EQ is the strongest.
Relic EQ can be further divided according to the number of statistics into:
- Relic EQ gen1 (3 stats)
- Relic EQ gen 2 (4 stats)
The next division of relic equipment is by star. You may have just noticed in the picture that there are blue and silver stars on the equipment. Blue reflects a lower % for that stat, silver and gold stars give more %. So we have three star categories.
- Blue stars (the weakest)
- Silver stars
- Gold stars (the strongest)
You can see this categorization of statistics only for relic equipment.
Composing of equipment sets
Ordinary, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Unique equipment may be combined freely when composing equipment, but can´t be combined with Relic equipment. The same applies also for the gems.
How to make your first Commander/Castellan?
Click on this icon and we can start
On the left bar choose whether you want to equip a Castellan or a Commander.
At the top of the bar, select the exact Commander/Castellan you want to start equipping.
At the bottom of the screen you have the equipment storage, here you can see what pieces of equipment are available for your Commander/Castellan. For example, here I am equipping a commander with rare armor.
The moment you choose the equipment you would like, just grab it and bring it right up to the place designated for it.
Continue in this way until you have successively equipped your Commander/Castellan with all pieces of equipment. Once you’ve composed it, you can see its overall characteristics on the the left side. (blue square) Use the arrows to see all combat and non-combat stats of your commander/castellan.
Forging and improving of equipment
We have two forges in the game. The classic one, which creates a new piece of equipment from your equipment in the storage. And the alliance one, where you can buy equipment for coins or rubies.

How to improve your equipment?
Non-relic equipment can be upgraded by Technicus for coins or rubies. Technicus occasionally appears among your camps below the castle.
Relic equipment can be upgraded at Relicus. Here you need to build a building (Relicus) on your castle to be able to upgrade the relic equipment. Each upgrade will cost you relic shards and coins.
Gems
Gems are another way how to improve your commanders/castellans. You can start to use them from level 25. Using them is very simple, just grab the gem you want to use and move it to your already deployed equipment. Also here, you can’t place a relic gem on non-relic equipment and vice versa.
Equipment caps
If you are composing equipment, you need to take into account that there are equipment caps. So for example you can’t build a commander that has a base ranged/melee strength higher than 140/140. These caps are also different for non-legendary equipment and legendary equipment, which is probably one of the reasons why you can’t combine these two groups of equipment.
