As a f2p, it’s better to improve more castles than just focusing on one
Many takes have been given on this topic, and many opinion have been shared. I tried to answer this question on the assumption that there’s only one thing that is gatekeeping the freedom of choice: Construction and Upgrade Tokens. I wanted to look at this problem with numbers, analyzing a “Well invested f2p scenario” And I want to be specific on this regarding: everything you’re gonna read in this article is said, thought and calculated having in mind what a true f2p can or cannot achieve. Let’s move on the main topic.
The chosen number 42 for the decorations is at it is by assuming the three main district being built and no extra expansions for the castles and leaving room for a couple of spare buildings. It’s a practical choice, given that the three expansions combined are not that cheap and even though is doable, what about every other castles?
The chosen 3750 P.O. is as it is cause it’s the highest (achievable?) P.O. available to f2p.
The food overseer price is a joke whenever there are discounts available.
The 95k berimond points was chosen as a stop cause the 195k is more than doable with some grind, but there are some inconvenients. Maiden pieces are required, even so would a f2p being able to maintain the 195k step between each event? I actually think an “expert” f2p is able to keep that title, but I wanted to analyze the lower side to be more realistic.
Everything else is obtainable with some grind throughout one’s game experience.
But how the assumptions above translate in practice?
The total food production gives us an idea on which production rate we should set in a lvl14 brewery.
The answer is 44%, which mean a production of 41 800 honey per hour is required.
Assuming lvl1 relic CIs honey production, on lvl1 apiarys, we need seven of them.
Assuming there are no problems with the crazy amount of food that will be recquired, the only thing we can do is doubling the honey production (remember, the rate conversion is 1:1).
We have reached every possible bonus to honey production (reasearch tower one and honey gardens bonus), so the only way is to upgrade the apiarys.
Actually, all of them. We would need 7 lvl15 apiarys (with given bonuses) to reach 83 440 mead production per hour and being even short on the double rate in the brewery.
And in the process we would have spent the crazy amount of ** 23 730 Construction Tokens** and 37 975 Upgrade Tokens.
For reference, starting from scratch in a new castle, building up lvl14 brewery, lvl 6 barrel workshop, lvl8 mead distillery and lvl6 honey gardens would cost 10 380 Construction Tokens and 16 400 Upgrade Tokens
With the same resources spent upgrading lvl15 apiarys in one castle, we could have had upgraded not just one, but two other castles. With actually a total of three times the initial troops capacity.
Of course this is just a pre-made scenario.
Every castle and every account is different, with different necessities, but even changing some numbers here and there, the result will be the same:
As a f2p, it’s better to improve more castles than just focusing on one
This was thought to give an insight on how effectively manage your resources and (trying?) to compete in big ocean of whales.
